PRIVACY INFORMATION VIDEOSURVEGILANCE

This information, which complements the content of the first level simplified information, is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the following sources: Article 13 of the EU Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”); Act No. 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree No. 101/2018; Art. 3.1 of the Guarantor’s Decree on Video Surveillance – 8 April 2010 (Videomonitoring Provision); Item 7.2 (Second Level Information) of the Guidelines on the Processing of Personal Data concerning Video Survey Services No. 3/2019 issued by the EDPB (European Data Protection Board); Act No. 300 of 1970 (hereinafter referred to as the Staff Regulations), art. 4 para. 1 for the purpose of providing you with information concerning the internal and external video surveillance systems, their use and your rights.
The areas subject to video surveillance are marked with special signs, clearly visible in all ambient lighting conditions. These signs are placed before the action range of the cameras or in any case in their immediate vicinity. The system is in operation 24 hours a day even on closing days with registration in the terms provided by the current regulations on the protection of personal data.

Art.1 Data controller

The data controller is Hotel Universal di Renzo Guddemi part VAT 01789560495 tax code GDDRNZ86D13E625F with registered office in Livorno Viale di Antignano 4, 57128 Livorno.

Art.2 Data Protection Officer

The Data Protection Officer has not been designated by the Data Controller.

Art.3 Type of data processed, legal basis, purpose and mandatoryity of the processing

The personal data treated are your images acquired through video recording. The devices are installed for purposes consisting in the protection of the integrity of the corporate property, the persons present and in order to prevent any acts of vandalism or damage.

Art.4 Liability of the processing

The processing is lawful as it is necessary for the pursuit of a legitimate interest (tutela del patrimonio aziendale).
The video surveillance system will not be used for the purpose of exercising remote monitoring of the activity of workers, as expressly prohibited by article 4 of Law No. 300/70. Therefore, cameras are not installed in areas reserved exclusively for workers, which can, for example, be wardrobes or services.

Art.5 Recipients of personal data

Subjects destined are exclusively those responsible, expressly designated and authorized, both for the purposes of access to the premises where the control stations are located, and for the purpose of the use of video surveillance systems and, in cases where it is indispensable and necessary for the objectives pursued, to view the images, to which specific instructions have been provided. The data processed shall not be disseminated and will not be communicated to third parties, except to the police forces and the judicial and administrative authority.

Art.6. Transfer of personal data to third countries or international organizations

We do not provide for the transfer of personal data outside the European Community or to international organizations.

Art.7. Period of retention of personal data

The recorded images are kept for a period not exceeding 48 hours, subject to special requirements for further preservation in connection with public holidays or business closures, as well as in case it is necessary to comply with a specific investigative request of the judicial authority or judicial police. The systems are programmed to automatically – at the specified time – complete deletion of the information at the expiration of the time specified by each medium, including by over-recording, in such a way as to make the deleted data non-reusable.

Art.8. The data subject

Pursuant to art. 13,15,16,17,18,21,77 of the GDPR, has the right to request at any time:


  1. a) access to data concerning you
  2. b) limitation, deletion, in case of processing in violation of the law.

It also has:


  1. c) the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data in particular situations that concern you.

  2. d) the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Personal Data Protection Authority – www.garanteprivacy.it), and to apply to the Ordinary Judicial Authority.

Due to the nature of the data collected, consisting of video recordings, you will not be able to request the correction and/or modification of the same as the images collected in real time relate to an objectively recorded fact. You may also not request portability or opposition to the processing as the latter is based on the legitimate interest of Hotel Universal di Renzo Guddemi (and not on your consent or the performance of the contract).

Art.9 Automated decision-making

Data is not processed by automated processes, including profiling.
